This one-of-a-kind tuxedo jacket is a bold reinterpretation of tradition and tailoring. The front panels are cut from a vintage Japanese wedding kimono (uchikake) adorned with embroidered cranes in flight and blossoming branches rendered in silvery greys, golds and soft pastels all set against a vivid vermilion silk ground flecked with gold.
In contrast, the back and sleeves are crafted in sleek black wool offering a clean modern counterpoint that frames the ornate front like a work of art. The structured silhouette is sharpened by a classic black satin lapel, while subtle red button details on the cuffs echo the richness of the textile.
