Calling all you New Yorkers: renowned tailor Nigel Curtiss has opened a brand new flagship store in the Big Apple
Located in the heart of the Meatpacking District, Curtiss – a designer to the stars, who is known for both his custom and sustainable luxury fashions – will use the store to debut his brand new ready-to-wear line. Created in partnership with his wife, chief executive officer, Monica Mitro, Curtiss’ collection blends formal tailoring with loungewear, cashmere sweaters, tracksuits and a range of denim and accessories.
“I want to make small quantities of the very best clothes. I want everything that is made to be worn and loved and kept and passed on to the next generation,” says Curtiss. “This is not fast fashion; it’s arduous, passionate and beloved fashion.”
Alongside the ready-to-wear pieces, the store will offer a custom atelier experience, alongside a coffee bar and lounge – perfect for kicking your feet up after a successful shopping splurge.
“People want clothes that feel as if they were made just for them – from the fit to the fabric and the style,” says Mitro. “Whether you’re buying ready-to-wear or tailoring for a special occasion, choosing clothing should feel like a personal conversation between the customer and the brand, and that’s what we are excited to deliver with.”
